The 475 is an ideal step-up instrument, perfect for bringing the best out of advancing students. With a design based upon the Pro and Custom saxes, it shares many of their features, including highly accurate intonation, warm tone, and a quick response.

The 475 is easy to sound great on! It is lightweight yet durable, and comes with a classic 62 style neck for optimum sound and playability. It also comes with an attractive, highly protective case, and a convenient shoulder strap.

We are often asked the difference between a YAS275 and YAS475, so, here are the main points:

- The 475 crook, although similar in design to the 275, benefits from annealed brass. This process improves the resonant qualities of the brass.

- The Low Bb Key has a different angle making it more ergonomical under the fingers.

- Better strap support on the bow of the instrument to provide security and re-inforcement of a delicate area.

- Better pivot screws are used to hold the keys in, they are nylon tipped to provide an ultra quiet key action and are easier to adjust for repairmen.

- The Bell is engraved for a more professional and unique look.

Take it away is an Arts Council initiative designed to help more people get involved in learning and playing music.

The scheme allows individuals to apply for a loan of up to £2,000 for the purchase of any kind of musical instrument, and pay it back in nine monthly instalments, completely interest free.

Take it away is open to everyone (over the age of 18), but primarily designed to help those who might otherwise be unable to afford an instrument appropriate for their needs.
