The Buffet B12 Clarinet remains the best selling student model in the UK. Recommended by teachers and professionals the B12 is free blowing, European made, and Dawkes supply it with everything you need to get started.

*NOW SUPPLIED WITH A FREE METRONOME, worth £25!!

Manufactured in Germany the Buffet B12 is widely recommended because it's very easy to play due to its design, it will work reliably for many years, and it is easily serviced and maintained. The engineering is precise and will ensure years of hassle free ownership, this isn't a 'cheap and not so cheerful' imitation, it's the real deal. The Buffet Company is the largest specialist Clarinet manufacturer in the world.

When any new beginner, young or old, starts playing an instrument it's critical the instrument itself gives all the assistance possible in producing those first few notes. If you're spending money on lessons, books etc you can't afford (however cheap it is) to buy a poor student model that is difficult to play, has bad tuning and is of no discernable origin. Any Buffet Clarinet purchased from Dawkes is automatically covered by our exclusive customer satisfaction promise:

We supply every Buffet B12 in its official hard case, with a Buffet mouthpiece, cleaning cloth, cork grease and a couple of spare reeds. Each instrument is thoroughly tested and 'set-up' in our workshops prior to sale. This involves a stringent quality check on all the moving parts, and we also prepare the instrument for the first lesson

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your new instrument and if you buy online or from the store we understand you may want a few days at home to get used to it. Take it to your teacher, test it in the band, play it in your own environment.
If you decide it's not for you we will refund 100% of the instrument cost, the only costs to incur will be return postage (£15 if we collect it with our couriers).
If you wish to return an instrument you can call us on 01628 630800 or email sales@dawkes.co.uk to go through the procedure.
We can't stress enough how important high quality pre-sale checks are on wind instruments.
The instruments that we stock are chosen from high quality manufacturers, these instruments may travel hundreds or thousands of miles to us though from the manufacturing plant. We assess the instruments in our workshops and make any necessary technical adjustments to ensure all the moving parts are balanced and working correctly. Our skilled technicians and musicians take each instrument through a unique multi-point check that ensures you receive it 'ready to go' for your next lesson or performance. These checks will make playing the instrument easier and more enjoyable; we call it the 'extra 5%' that improves your instrument over one 'straight from the box'.
We carefully check pricing to ensure we offer the best deals on our instruments.
If you find the instrument you're interested in cheaper online please email sales@dawkes.co.uk and we will endeavour to match the price. As well as the best pricing we believe we also offer customer service that is unmatched in the industry. The pre-sales instrument set-up, the home trial periods, the large choice of stock and the staff with genuine knowledge and experience who can help guide you in a pressure free way. We're interested in selling instruments, not boxes!
Our Buy-Back scheme is automatically applied on all new instrument sales...free of charge!
We're confident in the quality of instruments we sell, but we also know sometimes players can give up or circumstances can change and customers end up with an instrument that's not being used. If you return your instrument to us within 6 months of buying we offer a 90% REFUND, less the original VAT paid. You won't find many shops or web-sites offering this level of back-up!
All instruments we sell are covered by a minimum of 1 year warranty. What does this cover?
Well, pretty much everything except damage caused by the user. Often pads, corks, springs, valves, slides etc need some settling in and so our experienced technicians are on hand to make any adjustments you require within the first year, absolutely free of charge. If you're not local we can arrange a courier to collect and return your instrument, free of charge whilst under warranty. This procedure only takes 3-5 days and the instrument will be back with you, ready to keep playing!
