This a pre-owned Hans Hoyer Meister Series Full Double French Horn. The Hoyer horns are made in Germany and belong to a long tradition of horn manufacturing. These instruments are highly regarded for their excellent response, precise intonation and characteristic tone.
Hans Hoyer (1885-1970) was a German horn maker who founded the Hoyer company in 1929. Hoyer was a highly respected craftsmen who established a global reputation for making quality French Horns. The Hoyer company continues to make horns today, the instruments are made largely by hand.
This is the Meister Full Double model featuring a Geyer style wrap. It would be an excellent upgrade French Horn for any player moving up from a Single or Compensating model. There are some general signs of lacquer wear but these are purely aesthetic. Like all our pre-owned instruments this Horn has been fully checked, set-up and serviced in our brass workshop prior to sale. This ensures you can buy in confidence knowing the instrument has been professionally prepared for use.
