Dawkes Music is looking for an experienced woodwind specialist to take on a full-time position in one of the largest and most reputable specialist Woodwind and Brass shops in the UK.
Working as part of the sales team, we require an advanced single reed player who also understands the pressures and challenges of a dynamic retail environment. The role is diverse and includes dealing with many scenarios. From helping youngsters and their parents starting on their musical journey, all the way up to helping professionals who travel the world and rely on Dawkes to assist them in their musical journey.
Communication, high levels of customer service, expertise and friendliness will be at the heart of the role with responsibility for dealing with Woodwind queries across the whole range. You will work closely with the rest of the sales team under the Store Manager.
A fast-paced, exciting and dynamic work environment will await you, where different scenarios are encountered daily. Our sales team specialists must be prepared to think on their feet with teamwork and intelligent problem solving at the heart of our busy shop.
Our sales specialists must be enthusiastic, compassionate, transparent and engaged with the needs of the customer to provide the best possible service in any situation. A new addition to our team must be able to complete high quality work within a schedule and work pro-actively with others to achieve our collective responsibilities.
Daily tasks will involve providing consistent and excellent professional advice by email, phone and in-store, in line with our internal training program the ‘Dawkes Academy’. This is to ensure customers are given consistent and sensational experiences. You will also provide authentic and professional sales advice to trade customers and international repairers, by creating and processing orders for spare parts, tools and repair materials.
There may also be opportunities to be involved in marketing activities such as writing blogs, presenting videos demonstrations of products and off-site exhibition displays and visits.
