This post raising tool is designed to fit the larger style pillars/posts of Baritone Saxophones, and to be used together with the FL13 Slide Removing tool. The tool is double sided, to receive almost any shape of Baritone key pillar. You do not necessarily need to remove the spring to do this (if present) unless there is a spring coming out from both sides of the pillar.
When a pillar is pushed into the body, this tool allows you to pull it from the outside rather than using dent tools from the inside to correct the profile. By hooking the cut-outs in the tool over the offending pillar head and hooking the other end over the puller, simply align and pull in the direction you want the pillar to straighten towards - 2 or 3 sharp pulls usually does the trick.
This method can also be used as a makeshift dent puller, by soldering a pillar/post into the centre of a deep and inaccessible dent to use as purchase. Use the tool in the same way, then un-solder the temporary post and clean up.
