Completing Selmers recent mouthpiece overhaul the Concept Bb Mouthpiece represents the new wave of design from this classic company.

Featuring a newly designed throat area with a small step before it enters the chamber the Concept shares the same internals as the recently released Focus model but it has a larger tip opening of 1.10mm. This offers players a slightly broader tone and can allow for the use of slightly softer reeds. The Concept is suitable for a broad range of applications from classical to band and much more.

My daughter loved this from the first blow. She plays a Selmer clarinet and this Selmer mouthpiece gave a more centred sound, with good control. It suited the clarinet.

I play Selmer Clarinets , and was looking to replace an old style C85 mouthpiece. I tried both the Focus and the Concept mouthpieces. I found the Focus to be exactly that....a very even bright tone, but preferred the concept, which I found to produce a warmer tone with more scope for variation. It is easier to find reeds for than my old one, and the intonation across the range is much improved, especially around the throat notes! So pleased with my new purchase!
