The Slant sig is very versatile and is suitable for many types of playing but of course its best used in a jazz setting. Due to the special Fiberrod material it has an immediate tone with clarity and the large chamber design adds warmth and depth.

I would highly recommend this mouthpiece for jazz. The 7* is nice a punchy and easy to blow. You can also subtone very easily. Okay nicely in tune throughout the register.
I had a lot of hesitation before spending so much money on a mouthpiece but I have to say it was worth it. It's going to take a little time and practice to get the most out of it but I've already noticed the difference in the very low and very high registers - much more consistency and control.
Plays very well through the whole register with considerable punch at the top end for an ebonite open bore piece. Tone quality is particularly good in the lower register making subtones very straightforward. A must-try for the price range.
Very responsive tenor mouthpiece with a big warm vibrant sound. My only criticism is that mouthpieces at this level should come with their own ligature. Nick at Dawkes was very helpful in recommending suitable ligatures.
