Only just started experimenting with it to "save" some old reeds - will try "improving" newer reeds once I'm confident I know approximately what I'm doing!

Bought hoping it would be a magic fix for easing new/stiff reeds. However when using the re-surfacer on the table of the reed be very careful not to affect the tip area. Thats where it must have gone wrong for me - more practice I think. A larger resurfacer would help. The reed stick is more useful as it allows you to adjust any area.
