Product Information

The 88HO features an open wrap design through the F section which makes the instrument very free blowing and open sounding, with less resistance than the standard closed wrap 88H instrument.

The Conn 88H series of trombones are well regarded by teachers and professionals across the world, it has defined the modern symphonic sound with its characteristically rich tone.

The large bore, rose brass bell and rose brass outer slide legs give the trombone its warmth and depth of sound, this also makes it a very easy instrument to blend with other instruments within the band or orchestra but when pushed, it maintains the power and big sound needed to project right to the back of the hall.

I am still getting used to a trigger trombone as I have not played one previously. Choosing an instrument is a very personal thing and different instruments suit different people. In the end I chose a Conn as the weight, balance and tone were right for me. I am enjoying the new instrument and look forward to playing better in future!
