Sales & Equipment Testing: We strongly recommend pre-booking your visit if you wish to try instruments or accessories in-store. Walk-in testing space cannot be guaranteed. Book online at dawkes.co.uk/bookings.

Repair/Workshop Visits: All repair workshop visits must be pre-booked in advance. A Repair Technician cannot be guaranteed without a prior booking.

Getting Here by Train

From London (Elizabeth line / GWR)

Maidenhead is now served by the Elizabeth line (Crossrail), making it easier than ever to reach us directly from central London without changing at Paddington.

From Paddington: approximately 30–40 minutes by Elizabeth line or GWR service heading towards Reading or Maidenhead.
Direct services: the Elizabeth line runs up to 4 trains per hour (6 per hour at peak times) direct to Maidenhead from central London stations including Paddington, Bond Street, Tottenham Court Road, Farringdon and Liverpool Street.
On arrival: Maidenhead station is approximately a 5-minute taxi ride or 15-minute walk from Dawkes Music. Please use our postcode SL6 8BT for navigation.

Getting Here by Car

We are located in Berkshire with excellent motorway access:

M4: 10 minutes
M40: 15 minutes
25: 20 minutes
Heathrow Airport: 15–20 minutes
Gatwick Airport: approximately 60 minutes

Free car parking is available directly outside the shop.

From the M4 (heading west from London) — Junction 7

Leave the M4 at Junction 7, signposted Slough / Maidenhead.
Take the slip road and turn left onto the A4, heading west towards Maidenhead
Proceed along the A4 until you cross the River Thames, passing the Thames Riviera Hotel on your left.
Look out for the second left turn: Waldeck Road. Take this exit — you are now entering the Reform Road Industrial Estate.
At the end of Waldeck Road, turn left into Reform Road. Follow it around the bend and Dawkes Music is 200 yards on the right.

From the M4 (heading east from Reading) — Junction 8/9

Leave the M4 at Junction 8/9, signposted Maidenhead A404.
Take the second exit (A308M) towards Maidenhead.
At the small roundabout, take the left turn (A308 Braywick Road).
Follow Braywick Road for approximately one mile, past the train station, up to the A4.
At the A4 roundabout, take the 3rd exit (signposted A4). Follow the A4 over the next two roundabouts.
After the second roundabout, move into the right-hand lane and take the exit 100 yards later, signposted Waldeck Road.
At the end of Waldeck Road, turn left into Reform Road. Follow it around the bend and Dawkes Music is 200 yards on the right.

From the M40 — Junction 4 (Handy Cross, High Wycombe)

Leave the M40 at Junction 4 (Handy Cross Roundabout) and follow the A404M signposted Maidenhead (M4).
Continue on the A404M to the 4th exit, signposted A4 All Non-Motorway Traffic. Take this exit.
Turn left at the roundabout onto the A4 towards Maidenhead.
Follow the A4 for a couple of miles through Maidenhead, passing through a series of three roundabouts. Go straight over all three.
After the third roundabout, move into the right-hand lane and take the exit 100 yards later, signposted Waldeck Road.
At the end of Waldeck Road, turn left into Reform Road. Follow it around the bend and Dawkes Music is 200 yards on the right.

From the M25 — Junction 14

Take the exit signposted M4 West at Junction 14 and follow towards Maidenhead (M4 Junction 7).
Leave the M4 at Junction 7, signposted Slough / Maidenhead.
Take the slip road and turn left onto the A4, heading west towards Maidenhead.
Proceed along the A4, crossing the River Thames and passing the Thames Riviera Hotel on your left.
Take the second left turn: Waldeck Road — you are now entering the Reform Road Industrial Estate.
At the end of Waldeck Road, turn left into Reform Road. Follow it around the bend and Dawkes Music is 200 yards on the right.
