The Golden Bassoon reeds for Bassoon are the result of over 15 years experimentation, design and finessing. Whilst every Bassoonist has their preferred style of playing the Golden Reeds are designed by a method that produces consistently high-quality and well balanced reeds that suit the vast majority of players and playing styles.

Produced by Ben Exell, a leading UK professional player, the Golden Bassoon Student range of reeds are carefully produced to give advancing players a secure, reliable and flexible tone. The Soft strength is really designed for new beginners and those playing upto Grade 3-4 maximum. The Medium Soft strength are for more advanced students from Grades 5-8 and will give more support in the upper register.
