King, known universally for their Trombones, have also manufactured some fantastic trumpets through their history. A great example is this Silver Flair trumpet, likely made in the ‘80s or early ’90s with a similar spec to the model produced today.
This secondhand model has a Medium-Large bore size of .459” and a standard bell flare of 4.5”, these give the trumpet fantastic projection, and the heavy weight construction help to produce a powerful, lively sound, Perfect for the big band player!
This would be an ideal upgrade for the more jazz-oriented player wanting a hefty projecting sound. With a good saving of hundreds of pounds off the new equivalent prices, this is a well built and exciting option. Supplied in hard case with Bach 7C mouthpiece and a matching 7C cornet mouthpiece.
