Product Information

Legere Classic Tenor Sax reeds are made from a special polymer compound with a very fine microtexture. They have low density, so that they float, just like cane reeds. This hi-tec material is designed to mimic the properties of damp cane as closely as possible. Life of these synthetic style reeds can be reportedly months and make a great, consistent sound.

The Classic models have a thicker tip and produce a dark, full tone with a little resistance. A great option for concert band/marching band and to fit in an ensemble.

I was dubious about using a synthetic reed but from the first use I was smitten. It's ready to play immediately, needs no warming up etc, is consistent and is a comfortable reed to use now I am accustomed to it. I giggled with it for the first time at the weekend and was delighted with the sound and projection. I will definitely now try the Signature Legere reeds.

I like these tenor sax reeds and have used them for the last few years . They have a nice dark sound but with plenty of response ,they play straight from the box and can last up to six months . unlike cane reeds they are consistently good .
