This is a 38.1mm long cylinder of natural cork, with an outer diameter of 4.8mm. Mainly used as a material for rotor bumpers, it can be trimmed into segments of the required length.

The dimensions are not given on the website, but proved to be slightly too large. However, the even texture and limited defects in the cork makes it easy to sand to size with very fine sandpaper ('flour paper').
I had made previous repairs with a plug-punch and sheet material, but the defects in the sheets make for a relatively short-lived repair.

I have been making my own with a hole punch, but with modest results. These stop cork lengths are of a fine grain and very smoothly cut and should provide a lasting repair for my saxophones.
