Sankyo, the excellently regarded Japanese flute makers, have a great reputation for their intermediate and pro level flutes. The Etude Prima is an open hole flute with a 925 Sterling Silver head, silver plated body and keywork. It has a powerful, dark sound in the lower register and a real sweetness in the upper registers.
This particular Prima has fantastic intonation from top to bottom and shows only minimal signs of wear across the main body in the silver, such as light surface scratches through normal use.
This would be suitable for a range of musicians, from students seeking a long-lasting first upgrade to professionals looking for a reliable but affordable back-up instrument.
