Product Information

The latest Wood Stone Clarinet ligature from Ishimori of Tokyo, Japan. This range of ligatures have been very popular for a number of years and we're delighted to be stocking this new Classic ligature. The Wood Stone team describe these Classic models as 'brighter sounding with less resistance than the Original model'. They are exceptionally well made and feature a pearl inlay on the solid single screw.

This is the #11 model which is suitable for all French style Bb Clarinet mouthpieces - this includes all the main brands such as Vandoren, D'Addario, Backun that we sell here in the UK. The ligature features a single screw mechanism with plate underneath. This ensures the reed is balanced and held evenly on the facing of the mouthpiece.

Available in copper plate or gold plate, both finishes offer a slightly different tonal response but this is quite a subtle difference. We would advise using our 14 day approval system to try the ligatures out at home on your own set-up and see how it compares to your normal ligature.

We find this #11 Classic ligature is easy to use, sits securely on the mouthpiece and offers a solid yet flexible tonal response. As ever with the Wood Stone equipment it is extremely well made and the mechanism of the screw feels very strong and secure.
