The evolution of the Yamaha Custom Z continues. With a powerful sound and the ability to play fast passages without difficulty, the Z is crafted to meet your highest expectations.
They have been re-examined from the neck to the bell and are now equipped with a one-piece bell for increased resonance and the highly regarded V1 neck for the optimal combination of response and control.
The new Z model comes after intense and thorough development with top saxophonists around the world, interesting features include the new V1 neck which is packed full of power, the metal resonators on the pads which add brightness and the one piece bell for amazing resonance.
In our opinion this is now arguably the most vibrant, 'alive' pro Saxophone on the market, a joy to play.

Sometimes you just know. I wasn’t going to buy a saxophone. We had come in for a repair job and to try clarinets. We tried this out almost on a whim, but from the way my daughter’s face lit up from the first note, I knew we had to buy it. So much more life, so much more resonance than what she was playing before, and absolutely no issues taming the V1 neck from the get go. A thing of beauty, and a joy to play!

Beautiful instrument, lovely sound.
Super instrument. Tested it with my Otto link mouthpiece in shop and was more than satisfied but at home found bundled Yamaha mouthpiece was even bettter for this horn. Good intonation and clear tone across whole range.
