Bravo GK Synthetic Alto Saxophone Reed Box of 5 : Boxes of 5

I have bought Bravo Reeds fora Alto Sax n. 2,5. The price is reasonable, and of course lower compared to others syntetich Reeds. The sound is nice, good projection, very good for altissimo tunes where most sintethic reeds lack of body. It is not exactly easy blowing,as you need to work on your air emission, but once you get the way to use it, it is easy, and you can play very very fast rythm and tunes. Some others premium synthetic reeds I have are very easy blowing, but they lack of body on altissimo register; another premium type I use have more edge and body, but they are too hard to make sound, they are too much resistant and it is difficult when you have to play quickly. I am now using Bravo Reeds for my training exercise and when I sound in a traditional band. I would not recomand them for jazz, as they are not suitable to bend notes and to make scoopes. All the five reeds I bought play well, the sound is consistent for each of the reeds. They play immediately, you don't need to try them for a while, and you don't have to soack them as you do with organic reeds, nevertheless I usually soak them just once with my saliva as I do also with other syntetic reeds, in this way the sound is immediately smooth. I have been using these reeds for around 30 hours, I still have to check how much they will last, but they seems durable, the material look solid, and it seems that it is possible to sand them (I don't do this anyway). After having read the reviews on Dawkes Music about these reeds, I decided to purchase them. I was not disappointed. Amazing tone, sounds very much like a normal reed. Have tried other synthetic reeds before but this one outshines the rest! Will buy again!

I am a novice player in the sax but already I love these reeds. Probably sound a little brighter than cane reeds, but I have found from my clarinet Bravo reeds, that they are consistent throughout the box and exceedingly long lasting. Have tried the Plasticover reeds too and much prefer these. Will definitely but again.

They are great good sound,they play well every time,how good is that.????

Most synthetic reeds don’t sound as good as cane reeds. These are the exception. I’ve tried a few other brands and these are the best. Reasonable price too.

After a box of 3.5 (because it was a bit weak) I bought a box of 4 reeds as well. Unfortunately, however this was good at first, after 1-2 hours of play it will soften and weaker than the 3.5. I told Bravo support what the cause of the error was, they did not answer anything.

Maybe the best synthetic reed. Good natural sound. As the company writes: half weaker than the Vandoren Classic.

Bravo alto sax reeds. Probably the best synthetic reed I have ever used.
