The Strad 42 Trombones combine the heritage of Bachs original designs with modern day manufacturing precision and high quality materials. A large bore and 8.5 inch bell make this a bigger blowing instrument than the 36 model. The 42BO has an open wrap tuning slide configuration for a more free blowing open sound than the standard 46B with traditional wrap.It also features a standard F rotor attachment.
Produced in the USA since 1928 Bach Trombones are steeped in history and quality. Originally a professional Trumpet player Vincent Bach grew his business in the 20s and 30s with the help of Selmer USA and it soon flourished into the most reputable brass name in the world. The production moved from Mount Vernon, New York to Elkhart, Indiana in 1961 when Vincent Bach sold the company to The Selmer Company.
