Besson’s BE165 “New Standard” range is a balanced, free blowing and enjoyable instrument to play. It’s got a great sound, warm and full with easy response, perfect for a young player looking for an upgrade to 4 valves without the extra expense and weight that comes with the compensating system found of higher end professional instruments.
This euphonium has a bit of wear and evidence of some dent work from the bottom bow, but nothing to affect the performance of the instrument. The rest of the horn is in great condition, the silver plate is bright and clean throughout, except for small parts of the bottom bow.
