Their ligatures are well designed, manufactured in France, and come in a vast variety of styles to suit a vast variety of players.
This L15 original leather ligature holds the reed securely thanks to the rubber grips and solid single screw design. The leather outer design with rubber touch plate gives a warmer, rounder sound than a traditional metal ligature. The grooves down the rubber touch piece give a full, dark sound, ideally suited to ensemble and chamber work, as well as solo classical playing.

Bought this for use on a Yamaha 5C plastic m/p. It fits and works very well. It helped make the m/p sound so good that I do not see a need for a costly ebonite m/p. The cost was a bit lower than the Yamaha metal lig and cap.
