Bravo GK Synthetic Tenor Saxophone Reeds : Boxes of 5
Product Information
Bravo reeds were designed in California, USA and are made to the strictest non-toxic EU guidelines. They are supplied in a box of 5 and reportedly offer longer life span than standard cane reeds.
Upon testing we've found these reeds to be one of the most impressive synthetic options we've ever tried. With a flexibility and response that is commonly missing on synthetic reeds the Bravo offers a clean sound but still with some warmth and a wide dynamic range is possible.
In terms of strength we would say these are very similar to the Vandoren V12 strengths, or to put it another way 1/2 strength softer than Vandoren Classic blue box.

Bravo GK Synthetic Tenor Saxophone Reeds : Boxes of 5 Reviews
They seem to be holding up ok at the moment, but obviously only time will tell. I usually play on a Vandoren V16 2.5, and the Bravo is slightly harder, so I had to file down. Now it gives me a good rounded tone and holds well throughout the range.
I've given 5 stars for GK Bravo's TENOR sax reeds (tenor sax ONLY) as I've been using them for some years and do like them a lot especially comparing their price against other synthetics. I haven't yet tried the latest box that I've purchased so I'm hoping it will be at the same standard as usual. (I say this because the alto GK Bravo reeds I purchased at the same time have proven to be very inconsistent and poor.)
The supplier responded:Dear customer, Thank you for letting us know! I'm happy to hear that these tenor reeds have been serving you well. Kind regards, Kasey Stone - Dawkes Sales
Same as my review of the alto reeds - they compete well against other synthetics with price being the irresistible draw that brings me back time after time. Great smoky tone.
Good price for something that works for me! I had the alto bravo 2 and liked them, So thought I would try the tenor bravo 2 Better than the really cheap synthetics.
Same as my review of the alto reeds - they compete well against other synthetics with price being the irresistible draw that brings me back time after time. Great smoky tone.
