The B&S 3137 Challenger II trumpet is the logical step in taking the Challenger Series to the next level for the most ambitious players. With a slightly different lead pipe taper and bell design, the Challenger II has less resistance and allows the player to grow their sound and tonal flexibility through the Trumpet.
The larger bell on the Challenger II (compared to the original Challenger) gives more breadth and power to the sound. The ML bore (.459") is the classic bore size for versatility in a wide variety of playing circumstances. Be it in a classical or even jazz scenario, the Challenger II is an excellent upgrade all-round performer.
This model has a hand hammered yellow brass bell made to the finest standards in the experienced German manufacturing base. It features hand-lapped monel valves and two lever water keys. This LR modes is the reverse tuning slide version which sets the resistance point a little further back and allows for the ultimate flow of unimpeded air.
In summary this is an excellent upgrade option for the advancing or serious player. It compares very favourably to Bach, Yamaha, Getzen and other pro-model counterparts and bearing in mind its European heritage offers excellent value for money.
