The Buffet RC is one of the most respected professional clarinets on the market. It was designed by Robert Carree, the same craftsman behind the R13, and it has a sweeter, rounder tone than its more strident sibling.

The bore shaping and the quality of the wood selection give it a warm, rich sound that is an obvious step up from anything below it in the range. It has an ease of emission and a flexibility of tone that make it a genuinely versatile instrument, equally comfortable in orchestral playing, chamber work, concert band or solo repertoire. It is a natural choice for an advancing player moving to their first professional clarinet, and plenty of working players never feel the need to go further.

This particular example is in overall good condition. The silver keywork has signs of general wear and tear but nothing too noticeable. This RC has been professionally re-padded with a combination of white leather and cork pads. Like all our pre-owned instruments it has been fully checked and set up in our workshop prior to sale by one of our experienced technicians, so you can buy with total confidence.

It is supplied with a brand new ‘Protec BM307 Micro Zip’ case (worth £95). NO mouthpiece is included. At this price it represents a considerable saving on the new equivalent, and it is ready to play from the moment it arrives.
