The extra low Eb is accessed via a slightly longer bottom joint (compensated by a shortened bell to maintain intonation), whilst this additional note also provides a third fingering option for the notoriously tricky middle register Bb. The redesigned top joint features a raised C/G tone hole to improve left-hand balance and clarity, with Greenline slots throughout to minimise the risk of cracking.

This particular instrument delivers the rich, centred tone Buffet XXI players expect, with a sophisticated blend of GX and natural cork pads throughout and silver and gold plating on the keywork mechanism. It has been comprehensively checked and set-up by both our workshop and directly by Buffet.
