The Eastman Flugel Horns are part of their high brass range. This quality selection of instruments are produced by Eastman alongside the S.E. Shires Company - specialists in brass production for many years. This results in excellent build quality, reliable intonation and flexible tone.

The EFG422 Flugel Horn has a .413" bore size and a handspun wire-reinforced large (6.6") yellow brass bell. This larger bell design produces a broad and full tone which is especially suited to Flugel Horn. Eastman also offer a standard bell model called the EFG421 which has a more direct sound which is a little more focussed. Both models come with a vertical 3rd valve tuning slide with a comfortably positioned trigger.

In summary, this is a big and broad sounding Flugel thanks in main to the larger bell. It is an easy to play instrument that has solid manufacturing pedigree.
