Product Information

This is the Huber Step-Wah Mute for Trumpet in black (there are 2 finish options). This mute is a fixed stem model with a really unique sound. It is a reproduction of the extremely rare and sought after Lew Davis 'Nat Gonella' mute. The Huber team made a few minor adjustments to help this mute fit better in modern bells. The 'Nat Gonella' mute was famously used by Sweets Edison in the 1940's including on 'Jammin' the Blues'.

About Huber Mutes

New from the USA, these Huber Mutes for Trumpet are glorious to play and look at! Inspired by classic mutes that are now out of production, each model undergoes months of design and testing before going into production.

Each mute is 3D printed with PLA plastic (a multi-hour process). The mutes are then hand-painted, labeled, varnished and corked. Every mute is produced in limited numbers at their in-house facility in Brooklyn, New York. All our Huber mutes come with traditional cork fittings.
