Differently designed trombone stand to the others, this one has a catch on the top which the slide and braces lock into, less easy to knock the trombone over. Very safe for your prized instrument.

I do like the ease of use with this stand and it is well built and solid. It is not the most portable of stands and I would like it if the height was adjustable and if it came with a bag like other stands they do. However I like that it holds the instrument well and is very stable. I use this stand in my practice room and the store-in-bell version when playing elsewhere which is more convenient but less solid than this stand. Overall it is of high quality as with all of my Hercules stands (I have ones for saxophone, trumpet, clarinet and flute as well) and is great as a stand for at home.
