The JodyJazz new SUPER JET Alto Saxophone mouthpiece is a very contemporary sounding model. It offers huge amounts of power, more edge and altissimo that really pops. Like all the JodyJazz range this mouthpiece is very free blowing and still offers a good amount of depth in the lower range.

It features a small chamber and lively baffle design which of course lend it towards the funk/pop/modern lively sound that it has been designed to fulfil. Many of these types of mouthpieces are a little wayward and out of control, sometimes it's a real struggle to keep them in check but this SUPER JET is much more manageable whilst still offering the lively fun that this type of mouthpiece is known for.

In summary, if you're looking for something to cut through with a powerful punch then this would be a great option to test out. Other options might be the Wanne Mindi Abair or WoodStone Groove and Smooth Alto mouthpieces.

The JodyJazz SUPER JET Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece - 7 was a well made mouthpiece very similar to the old Dukoff 7. I found it a very slim mouthpiece to play, which some people might like. The main problem with high baffle mouthpieces such as this is that everyone sounds the same on them! Personally I found it uncomfortable to blow and was not for me.
