The European Cut Series for Clarinet is the next advancement in Légère synthetic reed development. The reed is characterised by a slightly shorter and wider vamp that is comfortable in the embouchure. There is a band of extra material along the spine that provides rigidity without compromising the reed's free blowing nature or high register stability.
The European Cut Series is designed specifically for French mouthpieces and will not work on most German mouthpieces.

I've returned to playing the clarinet after 50 years. I didn't remember having this much trouble with reeds. So I've two Lègére European cut reeds. I bough a Strength 2.5 to begin with and am using it on a Yamaha 6C mouthpiece. It is so easy to use. No need to sorry about storing the reed correctly so it doesn't dry out. You can even store it attached to the mouthpiece without it warping. I have now purchased a 2.75 strength reed and I think it works better. Now I sit down, assemble my clarinet and start playing, straight out of the case. I can't see me ever going back to a cane reed.
After years of temperamental cane reeds, the legere is a revelation. Consistency in sound, excellent response. Extended range of volume. Easier articulation. The legere is expensive, but I can't go back to cane reeds now.
I prefer the Classic cut.
Excellent service. Fast and efficient. I have used Legere reeds before and have them great for me - I needed a harder one for my clarinet. Perfect!
These reeds work really well for me. My playing’s improved since switching to synthetic as I focus on fixing problems with my technique rather than reed adjustments.
The supplier responded:Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback!
Excellent on my b45 mouthpiece. Great tone across 3 octaves. I have switched from signature to European cut and prefer it.
Lovely tone. Plays well every time. No wetting of the reed required. I've used them for several years and much prefer them to unstable cane reeds. They last a long time.
I like these reeds and find them very reliable
