This is the threaded nylon insert/pin that fits into the left hand lever keys on the bottom joint of Selmer Clarinets. These pins can sometimes snap or degrade and this is the official Selmer Paris replacement part.

The Selmer has the same issue as the Buffet with these plastic key pins. The pins from Dawkes are great and are used for factory pin replacement. This design may be faster/lighter for the musician but the pins are easily broken when gripping the clarinet in the wrong location for assembly or disassembly by the musician. Curiously, this part also fits certain Selmer bass clarinets and because of its slender dimensions is likely to fail. A stock of these is vital and recommended
