This special version of the classic Pearl 665E features the wonderful .925 silver Brezza cut headjoint (more on that later) with the addition of a heavy crown which helps provide a new feel and sound from this flute. This is an ideal upgrade flute for any advancing player, especially someone seeking a full, rich sound.

The 665E flute has been a very popular upgrade model for years. It has a host of features which make it both long-lasting, easy to maintain, and enjoyable to play: 

It features the Pearl pinless mechanism which is a patented construction that solves a classic problem of traditional flute manufacturing. The Pearl design removes the protruding parts that can snag on clothing or cleaning cloths, and more importantly it  also ensures no moisture from perspiration can enter them mechanism and corrode the keys.

The one-piece core bar eliminates many wear and tear problems associated with traditionally constructed flutes, especially in the areas of the high C key and the king post next to the F# key. The design features one rod that extends from the high C through the king post. Like the addition of the French pointed key arms, this results in a mechanism which is more comfortably balanced under the fingers, and also more long-lasting.

Finally, to the specifics of this model which make it stand out. The 665E commonly had the Quantz headjoint supplied with it. However, now the Brezza is available, and in this outfit it also benefits from the heavy crown (the bit at the top of the headjoint). The combination of extra weight from the crown, plus the already dark leaning tone of the Brezza embouchure cut, all combines to give a flute with a really full, rich and colourful sound.
