The palm key protecters effectively raise the palm keys and reduce the strain on my hand. The thumb rest is thick and shaped and protects my thumb from the sharp edged thumb rest. I put these items on a soprano sax, I was most surprised when the whole tone of the sax "Darkened". Very pleasing.
