The classic Rico orange box Alto Sax reeds are well respected and recommended by many.
They are designed and produced with a thinner tip to make articulation and response as easy as possible. Obviously this suits a beginner but it can also be suitable when used on certain jazz mouthpieces. The huge investment over the last 10-15 years by D'Addario into the Rico brand has ensured they are the most consistenly cut and selected reeds on the market.

Excellent quality and price
A market staple for beginners, great for a jazz bebop sound, surprisingly high quality when compared with more expensive lines - and thankfully cheaper than most other reeds for sale today
I\'m getting a good sound from the horn using these soft reeds as a beginner.
A change from my harder reeds 3.5.
Best quality and super fast delivery from Dawkes music
Good value reeds that are easy to blow for young, beginner sax students.
Prompt service. Crappy feedback app though- don't like being told more characters required!
We use Rico Royal Clarinet reeds for all members of the Clarinet section of our band. In addition we use Rico reeds for all members of the Saxophone as well
Only using first one, as I expected
