Schilke have an enviable reputation as some of the finest made instruments available, and the B1 is the model that best represents the range. Founded by Renold Schilke, formerly principal trumpet of the Chicago Symphony, the company is highly respected among top players around the world.
The B1 is an excellent all round model with a large bell, and the reverse tuning slide and leadpipe design give it a sparkling, lively tone with plenty of power and projection to soar over an ensemble when required. It is equally at home in a section. This is the LB specification with the beryllium tuning bell, an unusual and sought after option that changes the character of the response and the way the horn projects. This is a chance to pick up a top professional instrument at well below the cost of a new one.
This particular example is in good overall condition with the plating intact for the most part. The vales move freely and feel very positive when pressed. Like all our pre-owned instruments it has been fully checked and set up in our workshop prior to sale by one of our experienced technicians, so you can buy with total confidence.
It is supplied with a B&S double case with room for an extra Trumpet alongside this one. No mouthpiece is included.
