Product Information

The Schreiber S31 Bassoon is a first-level professional instrument produced in Germany from hand-selected Alpine maple. This Bassoon features a 25 key silver plated German system (full spec below). We'd suggest this is an instrument designed for the advancing player, perhaps a high-level student looking to study at college or a serious amateur player.

On this S31 model Schreiber have added a high E key on the wing joint as just one of the upgrades from the S16 Model below. This mechanism from the S31 upwards is fixed with axle nuts and pointed head screws. This provides a greater stability and avoids disturbing background noise in the keywork. The mechanism is handcrafted to ensure maximum playing comfort and response.

The manufacturing of Bassoons is the Schreiber firms speciality and they are a leading brand in the field. Highly qualified and experienced craftsmen produce an instrument that is made to last and offers easy response, perfect intonation and a beautiful sound.
