The Schreiber S71 Bassoon is a professional instrument produced in Germany from hand-selected Alpine maple. This Bassoon features a 26 key silver plated German system (full spec below). We'd suggest this is an instrument designed for the advanced player, perhaps a high-level student looking to play professionally or a serious amateur player.On this S71 model Schreiber have extended the handcrafted mechanism from the S31 with the addition of an E key. The levers for the right thumb have also been fitted with rollers (Bb, round E-plateau, F#) allowing even faster and more accurate fingering.
The manufacturing of Bassoons is the Schreiber firms speciality and they are a leading brand in the field. Highly qualified and experienced craftsmen produce an instrument that is made to last and offers easy response, perfect intonation and a beautiful sound.
