The Selmer C85 mouthpieces have been designed to satisfy a new sound conception in clarinet playing. The C85 has a large sound, rich in low overtones, subtly combining power and warmth. Its flexibility and precision facilitate easy articulation and sound production.
- Available in 105, 115 and 120 tip openings (1/100mm).
- 105 is the closest and requires a harder reed set-up wheras the more popular 120 is more open.
- The closer tip openings can give a more centred controllable tone.
- The larger tip openings give a broader sound with more projection.
- Hand finished in the Selmer factory, Paris.
