Piccolo Flutes can be particularly challenging to repair as the toneholes are cut down into the wood, making a traditional feeler gauge easily read wrong due to the extreme angles needed when feeling. On top of this very few piccolos has regulation screws so the sanding of regulation materials needs to be done meticulously and carefully to not go too far. 

This is what makes the new Piccolo Probe attachment for the Flute Ferret such a valuable addition to any woodwind repair bench - It takes out the guess work when working on any Piccolo.

The handy indicator bead tells you what pad you're testing, and the soft rubber bungs can expand to seal almost all Piccolos bores - in fact we are yet to find a model it does not work on. This tool speeds up Piccolo repair and assessments, and makes is easy and accurate to carry out all Piccolo jobs, big or small.
