This Windcraft lyre is desinged to specifically fit Yamaha Saxophone lyre boxes. Yamaha have a different sized lyre box diameter to most manufacturers and thus you'll find many other lyres don't fit the Yamaha box correctly.

I bought the lyre for my daughters Yamaha YTS23. I received a straight one, not as the one shown on the picture. When mounted the lyre makes it not possible to have the neck on. It is simply not possible to mount both - the neck and the lyre at the same time. I had to bend the lyre base to fit it on the saxophone. Unfortunately bending damages the lacquer.

Beware ! The diameter of the shank on this lyre is far too large for the lyre box on both my Yamaha YTS-280 Tenor and YAS-280 Alto which I believe are the current models.

The supplier responded:Hi, thanks for your feedback. I believe there may have been an error with the picking of your order and as such you didn't receive the correct Yamaha fitment. I understand this has now been dealt with and corrected. Thanks again for getting in touch, and apologies for any inconvenience.
