This Windcraft 4 Valve Eb Tuba would make an excellent affordable option for any young player or school. With a bright, full tone and fantastic valve action the reliable Windcraft model has good tuning and is easy to play across the whole range. It is constructed with a 16 inch bell and smaller profile than larger professional models for ease of handling.
Supplied in hard case with a decent 24AW Faxx mouthpiece the WEB-200 is a fraction of the cost of other 4 valve Eb models and is designed to be robust enough to cope with the demands of large brass playing and handling for years. The zippered hard case is tough and very protective and also has wheels for ease of transport.
This tuba is in great general condition. A few years old, we’ve completely serviced it in our brass workshop, the valves are quick and quiet and everything moves freely. There is evidence of dent removal around the bell rim and the bottom bow, all normal for these large instruments, but as a result, some of the lacquer has been lost on the inside of the bell. As with all tubas, we don’t recommend that the instrument is stood upright on its bell when not being played, we recommend to use a tuba stand or to lay it flat, to avoid denting the bell.
