The Yamaha YCL-450 is a wooden first upgrade clarinet, ideal for the advancing player at Grade 4 and above or for an adult beginner who wants to start on something better than plastic. This is the S version with silver plated keywork.

The grenadilla body gives a richer, fuller tone than the ABS student models, and as a player becomes more experienced that matters, because the instrument starts assisting progress rather than limiting it. Yamaha clarinets are highly respected for build quality, ease of play and tone, and the 450 is popular precisely because of where it sits on price.

This particular example is in excellent condition. The wooden body is in great shape and so is the finish on the keywork. Like all our pre-owned instruments it has been fully checked and set up in our workshop prior to sale by one of our experienced technicians, so you can buy with total confidence.
