I recently traded up a ytr 8335EM trumpet in the store mainly because it didn't suit the majority of what i play, trad jazz, chicago blues and some big band it is certainly more of a lead horn. I needed something that could be quite flexible so i enquired with Dawkes and arranged this commercial horn for me to buy. The 6335RC is a very good horn, if you want a jazz sound it can emulate Kenny Ball to kermit Ruffins and everything in between. Ot reminds me of a Bobby Shew 8310 but without the slight air restriction. A great trumpet.
Sound and ease of use, great valves
Great horn with an excellent sound. This horn has the reverse lead pipe which gives a very open feeling when played

Impeccable fit & finish, fast valves an slides. All as expected from Yamaha.
Even scale and fantastic intonation.
Even blow top to bottom with just enough resistance to provide support without becoming stuffy.
Great "core" sound with a C cup mouthpiece, sound profile is very malleable with mouthpiece changes or mindset/playing changes.
Overall, a great sounding and versatile horn.
