Some Saxophones come along that are just WOW, and this pre-owned Yanagisawa T9932J is definitely one of those. It would be easy to just concentrate on how amazing this Saxophone looks, but the real star of the show is how it sounds.

The Yanagisawa T9932J Tenor Sax has a bronze body and bow, with a sterling silver reinforced neck and a sterling silver bell. From an aesthetic point of view this two-tone vibe looks stunning. The visuals are set off by hand-engraving all over the bell, neck, and indeed on selected keys. The whole engraving process can take up-to 10 hours and is only completed by the most experienced craftsmen.

From a playing point of view the bronze and sterling silver combination offers so much colour and ‘character’ to the sound it's really joyous to play. This depth and weight to the sound particularly suits Tenor in our opinion where you want that thick, tubby, fat sound - especially in the lower register. Push the instrument higher up the range though and the sterling silver content helps prevent the sound going thin. It is essentially a Rolls Royce of the Saxophone world!

This particular example is in very clean aesthetic order and has clearly been very well maintained by the previous owner. Like all our pre-owned Saxophones it has been fully checked, set-up, and play-tested in our specialist woodwind workshop prior to sale. This ensures you can buy in total confidence. The outfit is complete with the original Yanagisawa case and hard rubber/ebonite no.7 mouthpiece with lig & cap (all used but good condition).
