The Bach Stradivarius 180ML37 is perhaps the best selling professional model Trumpet of all time. This particular example is quite unique because of the customised overhaul we've given it. At the time the instrument donated it was in need of a full restoration. Our workshop team embraced the opportunity to create a unique and very special Vincent Bach Stradivarius 180ML37. This has resulted in a cracking sounding (and looking!) 37 model which was originally produced in the golden era of Strad production.
As part of the restoration we have fully stripped, re-surfaced and polished the raw brass. On top of that we have added a clear lacquer with a high gloss trim. It looks incredible with this finish which would be unavailable on a ‘stock’ Bach Stradivarius. Alongside the aesthetic work this Trumpet has had a full mechanical service including; valve casing deep clean and re-lapping of valves, de-scale and polishing of all tubing (inside and out), lubrication of all moving parts, new water key corks and springs.
The Strad 37L is an extremely versatile professional model. The ML (medium large) .459" bore and the 37 bell shaping make for an instrument that is equally at home in a jazz band or orchestral situation. The spec is one aspect but what you're also paying for is the years of experience from the craftsmen that hand hammer the brass on these instruments, and of course the quality of materials which is optimal.
In summary, if you're looking to upgrade to a Bach Strad and need something for all round playing of many styles/genres then the 37 is a great bet. A long-lasting instrument which is extremely versatile to play across a vast range of musical situations. This one is particularly unique because of the amazing lacquer finish and the full overhaul.
