This Drake Master Series 'Pete Christlieb ' model Tenor Saxophone mouthpiece is based on the very same 'Bullet Chamber' design that Pete Christlieb has played for over 50 years. It is an immediate mouthpiece with plenty of punch and power due to the chamber design.

More About Pete Christlieb

From the 1970's onward Pete Christlieb's Tenor could be heard on many TV and film sound tracks and recordings. Inspired throughout his early years by such greats as Gerry Mullgan, Zoot Sims, Eddie 'Lockjaw' Davies and Johnny Griffin, he went on to create his own unique and recognisable tone. He has featured on countless recordings and is well known for his 20 year stint with Johnny Carson's 'Tonight Show' band on primetime US television.

Attributes of this Mouthpiece

Aaron Drake sought to recreate Pete's 'Bullet Chamber' design mouthpiece that he had used for over 50 years. The geometry is true to that original mouthpiece which offers a really lively punch and vibrancy to the tone. The addition of the long silver plated baking on the shank helps to focus the core vibrational frequencies and enhance projection.

This mouthpiece really rocks! It's got loads of fruity character and is not for the faint-hearted. It's essentially a modern, highly accurate vintage Berg Larsen but with unique hand-finishing touches and material upgrades that make it a hugely enjoyable mouthpiece to play and totally unique the vast majority of pieces on the market which are commonly large chamber Link variants to some degree. This has much more of a centred, direct and powerful tone.

Available in tip openings: .105' / .110' / .120' (as played by PC). The mouthpiece comes with a two-screw metal ligature, cap and case.
