The only Drake metal mouthpiece for Tenor Sax, the 'Stubbie' model can do it all. Inspired by classic metal mouthpieces of years gone by coupled with a desire to fulfil the needs of modern Saxophonists, the 'Stubbie' model has all the positive attributes of the greatest metal Tenor Sax mouthpieces.

About this Mouthpiece

This Drake 'Stubbie' Tenor Sax mouthpiece features a medium rollover baffle that transitions to a medium/large chamber with a classic tapered window design. It offers an immediate response and a rich beautiful core sound. We find this mouthpiece super-easy to play across the whole range of the instrument with a full and solid bottom end and a rich, supported upper register.

These mouthpieces are made from milled brass and are sterling silver plated, then 24k gold plated on top for a stunning look and sound.

Each 'Stubbie' model Tenor mouthpiece includes a Rovner ligature, Drake cap, pouch and carry case. We offer this model in the following tip openings:

Lovely mouthpiece, very well made, BUT there is no tooth bite, meaning it has to be played with a patch, which I’m not a fan of !
