This Jody Jazz DV HR Baritone Sax mouthpiece is extremely versatile to cope with 99% of all musical environments. Like any great Baritone Saxophone mouthpiece it offers a nicely balanced mix of booming low end but with a secure and rich top end. It's a very fun mouthpiece to play as it can stay relaxed and calm, or go full on punchy Baritone when you give it the required push.

The DV HR from Jody Jazz features their patented DV secondary window design which helps add low and mid harmonics to the sound. On Baritone this results in a fatter, huskier bottom end of the instrument. The baffle is long, straight and moderately high which gives plenty of projection and cutting power without sacrificng tonal quality.

These Jody Jazz HR mouthpieces feature a bite plate embedded into the beak of the mouthpiece. Whilst you can play directly as it is, we'd always recommend adding a thin mouthpiece patch to just protect the surface of the beak. Finally, in terms of spec, the DV HR series features a gold-plated brass ring on the shank, thus adding more mass at this critical contact point with the neck.
