The JodyJazz GIANT Tenor introduces "Stealth Metal" design—combining the outside shape and look of a hard rubber mouthpiece with the precision of Aerospace Grade Hard Anodized Aluminum. The GIANT delivers a dark, big saxophone sound with strong projection and cut. It excels in jazz, bebop, big band, rock, funk, and blues, whilst blending beautifully in concert band and saxophone quartet settings.
Manufactured on a five-axis CNC mill in the JodyJazz factory, the GIANT features a large chamber that achieves warmth without sacrificing projection—a balance rarely found in metal mouthpieces. The unique chamber design, new facing curve, and hand-finished baffle produce extremely even sound across the full range with good sub-toning, easy articulation, and responsive control. Players report excellent intonation and the ability to shape their tone from soft and breathy to powerful and cutting.
Each mouthpiece is individually play tested by Jody Espina or a professional saxophonist to ensure perfect reed seal and response throughout the range. Available in six tip openings, the GIANT suits tenor players seeking a dark, complex tone with genuine versatility. Ligature not included and should be purchased separately. We recommend the JodyJazz GIANT Tenor for tenor saxophonists seeking a big, warm sound with projection, precision, and the unique character of anodized aluminum construction.
