Meyer represents the benchmark for tenor saxophonists seeking warmth and clarity, flexibility and control. Built through JJ Babbitt's proprietary hard rubber formulation, moulding, and vulcanisation, Meyer delivers a classic warm, rich tonal core that stays clear under articulation and remains flexible across the full tenor dynamic range.
For tenor players, Meyer's signature balance translates to a fat, bold tone with the projection to cut through ensembles while retaining musicality. Notes speak easily and articulation stays defined without becoming edgy. Medium resistance provides focus and responsive, free-blowing feel. Through partnership with Theo Wanne, modern precision ensures every mouthpiece delivers the Meyer you expect with consistency.
Meyer is the mouthpiece tenor players trust for room to express personal voice. Suitable across jazz, bebop, contemporary, and commercial styles, it adapts to any role — blending in a section, leading a small ensemble, or stepping forward as a soloist. Available in tip openings: 4M (.071), 5M (.076), 6M (.081), 7M (.086), 8M (.092), 9M (.098), 10M (.104).

Meyer Ebonite Tenor Saxophone Mouthpiece Reviews
Anonymous review via Feefo - 2024-06-27
I tried the Meyer 6MM and was pleased with it. It was very like the mouthpiece I currently use. It was easy to blow and felt comfortable in the mouth. I would definitely recommend it.

Easy to play and has a lovely warm rich sound. I’m still a beginner and this was an ideal upgrade from my Yamaha 4C.

I purchased the Otto mouthpiece in prefernce

I had a 4MM on approval with two other m/p's. The Meyer is very responsive and easy to blow (top end crystal clear). But I concluded that the mid to low end was rather thin and lacking (my Yamaha 4C is better). I eventually chose the Otto Line Tone Edge for its depth and smoothness throughout the register.
